A Few Ideas To Get You Started

• At the well – Start by getting to know Jesus. 
  • Read the book of Mark with a loving lens.
  • Get a group of friends together, listen to and discuss a sermon or talk from the audio page.
  • Get your pastor to book a Manna and Mercy course at your local church.   
       
• In the world – Start by getting to know people. 
  • Start by listening to others.  Get to really know those who do not hold power in your community.  Strive to understand rather than to prescribe solutions. 
  • Learn to be humble.  Accept that there are no simple and quick answers to the complex problems that we face.
  • Find creative ways to engage in a meaningful way with people who are not like you.  Work hard at this one, it’s easy to be unintentionally patronizing.
  • Get your company to do an Anti-Bias workshop. 
  • Go Green.  Search the web for ways to live sustainably.
  • Take a slow walk through the Apartheid Museum with friends and have a discussion afterwards.
  • Volunteer to help people less fortunate than yourself.
